    Institute for U.S. and Canadian Studies – USACA at Caucasus International University was founded in April, 2017. The founder and head of the Institute is Nana Parinos, Assistant Professor Doctor of American Studies.

    Andrew Carnegie’s famous quote: “Aim for the highest” is the motto of the Institute for U.S. and Canadian Studies. The phrase was uttered for the first time at Caucasus International University at a USACA conference dedicated to Andrew Carnegie. The event was opened by Ian Kelly, US Ambassador to Georgia.

    The Institute aims at:

    Implementing scientific-research activities in the direction of the United States and Canada (cultural, legal, political, historical, economic, agrarian, etc.);
    Promoting scientific-educational relations between Georgia, the United States and Canada; At the same time, the goal of the institute is to raise the awareness of the United States and Canada;
    Developing and implementing projects necessary for the development of civil society.

    As the result of its goals, the Institute for U.S. and Canadian Studies (USACA), during its 6 years of existence, has conducted several events, won several grants (practical and scientific), namely:

    All projects implemented by the Institute for U.S. and Canadian Studies (USACA) are fully in line with its goals and objectives:

    Project #1 – Scientific-Practical Conference: Andrew Carnegie’s International Legacy: Shaping the Modern World;
    Project #2 – Nana Parinos, Head of USACA was awarded Freie Universität Berlin scientific Type A Grant;
    Project #3 – Grant awarded to USACA from the German Federal Agency for Civic Education - War or Peace: Crossroads of History 1918/2018;
    Project #4 – Cycle of US and Canadian study series on social network;
    Project #5 – Short-term research grant from Caucasus International University, awarded to USACA;
    Project #6 – Institute for U.S. and Canadian Studies (USACA) scientific training for pupils in border village Orsanta;
    Project #7 – Institute for U.S. and Canadian Studies (USACA) got Lithuanian State Scholarship.
    Project #8- Creating and publishing a textbook Canada.

    - Engagement of the Institute for U.S. and Canadian Studies (USACA) in the head office of Vienna-based Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe;
    - Meeting of the Institute for U.S. and Canadian Studies (USACA) with Canadian Professor, Frederic Labarre;
    - Participation of the Institute for U.S. and Canadian Studies (USACA) in Batumi Annual Scientific Conference “European Way of Georgia”;
    - Visit of the Institute for U.S. and Canadian Studies (USACA) to the Presidential Palace;
    - Institute for U.S. and Canadian Studies (USACA) at “World Congress 2018”, in Paris.
