Participation in International Scientific Conferences
From 2018 to 2024, CIU affiliated academic personnel actively participated in 99 international scientific events organized by leading research centers and universities worldwide, as well as 121 international and local scientific events, organized by Georgian research institutions and universities.
Organised Conferences
- On June 15, 2024, Caucasus International University organized the 12th International Scientific Conference for BA, MA, and PhD Students. The conference offered seven sections: Business and Technology, Medicine, Viticulture-Enology, Journalism, International Relations, Law, and Future Students (Pupils). Pupils of secondary schools were given the opportunity to participate in the work of the conference. This collaboration aims to popularize science among seniors. Program / Abstracts
- On February 9-11, 2024, Caucasus International University hosted an international scientific conference on “Innovation and Entrepreneurship”. The conference was opened on February 9 at the Biltmore Tbilisi Hotel. The second day of the event was held at Caucasus International University, offering five sector-specific sessions and an exhibition of entrepreneurs. Iakob Gogebashvili Telavi State University hosted the scientific activities on the third day.
The conference brought together approximately 140 representatives from various countries and universities. In addition, Georgian state and private business sectors also participated in the conference.
The project was funded by Shota Rustaveli National Science Foundation of Georgia, and Caucasus International University served as the host, leading institution and co-funding organization of the event. The co-participating organizations were: School of Entrepreneurship University of Alcala (Spain) and Deggendorf Institute of Technology (Germany). The project partners included: “Produce in Georgia” agency, Small and Medium Enterprise Development Association (SMEDA), UN Global Compact Network Georgia, Financial Education Portal – “Finedu” and Iakob Gogebashvili Telavi State University.
The conference organized by CIU aimed to advance and internationalize cutting-edge scientific research on innovation and entrepreneurship in Georgia. It also sought to deepen cooperation between academia, public institutions, and the business sector while inspiring young scientists to engage in these fields.

- On June 10, 2023, Caucasus International University organized the 11th International Scientific Conference for BA, MA, and PhD Students. The international scientific conference, with nearly 200 speakers, offered 7 sections and 15 subsections: International Relations, Journalism, Business and Technology, Law, Viticulture and Enology, Medicine, and Future Students (Pupils). - On June 11-12, 2022, Caucasus International University (CIU) organized the 10th International Scientific Conference for BA, MA, and PhD Students which was held in online format. The conference offered eight sections: Business, Medicine, Viticulture and Enology, Journalism, International Relations, Law, Iranian Studies and Future Students (Pupils). The conference was attended by undergraduate, graduate and doctoral students from higher education institutions. - October 1, 2021 - International Conference – Regulating Online Disinformation: Comparative Perspectives was held online. The event was organized by Caucasus International University and Dublin City University. Participants of the plenary session of the International Conference discussed ways to regulate and self-regulate problems caused by online disinformation in Europe and abroad. A roundtable discussion was also held on the current state of online disinformation in Georgia. Please, see the program.
- The 6th International Conference – Cancer Immunotherapy and Immunomonitoring was held in Tbilisi, at hotel Radisson Blu Iveria from April 29 to May 2. The event was organized with the support of Shota Rustaveli National Science Foundation. Grant recipient – Tbilisi State University. Co-participant – Caucasus International University. The conference was also hosted by National Center for Disease Control and Tbilisi State Medical University. The conference was opened at the conference hall of the hotel Radisson Blu Iveria at 14:00 on April 29. The chairpersons of international and local committees greeted the conference participants.
Cancer Immunotherapy and Immunomonitoring conference was a large-scale and significant event. It represented the continuation of a 10-year tradition and scientific forum in Tbilisi was of jubilee importance. Georgian and foreign scientists working in the top Georgian and foreign institutes and research centers participated in the Cancer Immunotherapy and Immunomonitoring conference. They presented the results and modern achievements of innovative research in cancer immunology, immunotherapy and immunomonitoring. The event was attended by 130 foreign guests from leading American and European universities.

- The 2nd International Scientific School-Conference “Applied Biosciences and Biotechnology – 2019” was organized by Caucasus International University and Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University, with the support of Shota Rustaveli National Science Foundation on April 1-5, 2019. The school conference was hosted for 5 days by partner organizations together with the university: Laboratory of the Ministry of Agriculture of Georgia and the National Center for Public Health (NCDC). The University holds an annual international student conference for the development and realization of students’ theoretical and practical knowledge, in order to improve, on the one hand, internal university capacity and, on the other hand, to deepen the integration of CIU with the world educational space.

- June 15-19, 2018 – Caucasus International University participated in the International Scientific Conference and School – Innovative Technologies in Clinical Immunology: From Immuno-Diagnostics towards Personalized Targeted Immunotherapy and Immuno-Rehabilitation as a copartner and funder. It is funded by Shota Rustaveli National Science Foundation. The concluding sessions of the project, scientific debates organized with the participation of students and final testing was held at Caucasus International University.
