International Recognition of CIU

Caucasus International University (CIU) has achieved significant international recognition. It has been included in the QS World University Rankings: Europe 2026, according to the latest results.

CIU entered the ranking as a new entrant. It is noteworthy that the university successfully secured its place with its very first application. This is a significant accomplishment, since most institutions typically undergo several preparation cycles before being included. In total, nine universities from Georgia were included in this year’s prestigious European ranking.

QS (Quacquarelli Symonds) is widely regarded as one of the world’s most respected university ranking systems. CIU was evaluated within five core performance lens:

• Research and Discovery:

This lens measures both an institution’s research quality, volume and its reputation. Inclusion of CIU in this category confirms its contribution to knowledge generation and its active engagement in international research networks.

• Employment and Outcomes: 

This lens measures the demand for graduates in the labor market. The results highlight the strong competitiveness of CIU graduates and their successful employment outcomes.

• Learning Experience:

This lens focuses on the quality of teaching and learning. One of the key strengths of the university — its optimal student-to-faculty ratio — is reflected in this category, ensuring personalized academic support and an enhanced learning environment.

• Global Engagement:

This lens measures the level of internationalization. Growing international profile of CIU, the increasing number of international students and its partnerships with foreign universities demonstrate strong performance in this area.

• Sustainability:

A modern benchmark assessing a university’s social and environmental impact. CIU is committed to sustainable development and to educating responsible future leaders.
