Research Center of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Law of Technologies (TechLaw) is a structural unit of the Faculty of Law at Caucasus International University. (See the provision)

The Center aims to enhance the potential and significance of scientific research and educational programs in the fields of Artificial Intelligence Law, Legal Technology (LegalTech), Digital Governance and Technology Law (This includes areas such as Internet law, e-commerce law, social media law, blockchain technology law, smart contracts, digital signatures and electronic documents). Additionally, the Center supports the research of scientists and students engaged in the field of AI and technology law and promotes the development of cutting-edge educational and research projects at the Faculty of Law. It also encourages participation in grant projects and their successful implementation.

The functions of the center, due to its objectives, are as follows:

-  Conducting study on contemporary trends in the regulation of artificial intelligence law, the ethical implementation of AI and providing the state with recommendations;

-  Carrying out scientific research in the areas of Legal Technology (LegalTech), Digital Governance and Technology Law (including Internet law, e-commerce law, social media law, blockchain technology law, smart contracts, digital signatures, and electronic documents);

-  Organizing hackathons, seminars, conferences, training sessions, and summer/winter schools;

-  Collaborating with relevant national and international organizations;

-  Participating in local and international grant projects;

-  Engaging in other activities that align with the goals of the center and are consistent with Georgian legislation, as well as the mission and vision of the university.

The activities of the Center are overseen by the Director, who is appointed and dismissed by the Chancellor of the University upon the recommendation of the Dean and Rector.
