Laboratory for Political Studies represents an inner structural unit of Caucasus International University. Its aim is to ensure the development of political sciences, to conduct scientific-research activities in the field of politics, to study legislative problems and to work out and realize necessary projects for the development of civic society.
Due to the above mentioned aims, the objectives of the Laboratory for Political Studies are to conduct conferences, seminars, discussions, forums, educational courses and various scientific events and to engage students actively in them. In addition, the laboratory strives to establish partnership with international educational and scientific-research institutions, various social organizations, local and international donors and to publish scientific journal (electronic version) in the field of politics.
In July 2017, the Head of the Laboratory Tamar Kiknadze visited the United States to plan further cooperation with the international consulting firm – Kissinger Associates and an interview with its Managing Director, Thomas Graham (Advisor to US President, junior George Bush Administration) has been prepared. Furthermore, the laboratory planned an active cooperation with Howard University in Washington. Visit results and future perspectives were summed up by the laboratory head at the radio “American Voice”.
