The following scientific-practical activities were held for the first semester Doctoral Program students in Political Sciences at CIU Faculty of Social Sciences at the Hamlet of Bakuriani on January 20-21, 2019.
Defense of Dissertation Research Projects – Prospectus (research component implemented within the framework of doctoral program);
Scientific seminar on the topic Analytical Methods in International Security – trainer: Mr. Vakhtang Maisaia, Doctor of Political Sciences, Associate Professor;
Scientific seminar on the topic Plagiarism and Problems Connected with It – trainer: Ms. Nino Mindiashvili, Doctor of Philology, Associate Professor;
In total eleven doctoral students became engaged in scientific-practical activities, however one of them remotely as the student was out of the country. Dissertation research projects of the first semester doctoral student of Caucasus International University Political Sciences Program referred to the following issues:
Geopolitical Dimensions of Georgian-Abkhazian Conflicts and the Ways for Their Solution; Impact of the Religious Factor on the Example of Palestine-Israeli Conflict in Resolving Regional Conflict; EU Defense and Security Approaches to Georgian Conflict Resolution; Gender Aspects of Political Processes on the Example of South Caucasus; Classification of Military-Political Conflicts and Their Transformation Under the Conditions of New International Security System (on the example of Russian-Georgian conflict); Clash of US-Russian Interests in the Plane of Georgian and Ukrainian Conflicts, etc.
